Successfully completed installation of the DEKA Italy Laser Machine at AIIMS Kalyani

AIIMS, Kalyani marked a monumental milestone in public healthcare with the grand inauguration of its state-of-the-art LASER Unit under the Department of Burns & Plastic Surgery.

The cutting-edge facility was officially inaugurated by Shri Samik Bhattacharya, Hon'ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), on May 20, 2026. The event was hosted by Prof. (Dr.) Arvind Sinha, Executive Director of AIIMS Kalyani, alongside senior administrative officials, medical faculty, and dignitaries from the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

This newly established LASER Unit stands as a landmark achievement, being the first-of-its-kind facility in any government hospital across India, including Institutes of National Importance (INIs).
